IHS Inc. Acquires Dolphin Software

March 3, 2008. Dolphin Software, Inc., announced today that it has been acquired by IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS – www.ihs.com). IHS has been in business for nearly 50 years, providing critical information and insight to governments and companies in a broad range of industries in 180 countries. IHS customer product and service solutions span four major areas of information: energy, environment, security and product lifecycle.  

The acquisition of Dolphin Software strengthens the IHS position as a global leader in the environment information domain at a time when environmental and sustainability issues are of significant and growing importance to businesses and governments worldwide.

As a combined company, our position will be enhanced in the marketplace and our opportunities for growth will increase.
